Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food plating under the supervision of the head chef or senior kitchen staff
- Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with service setup
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards
- Help with basic cooking tasks such as chopping, mixing, and assembling dishes
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers to prevent contamination
- Serve food to guests or customers as required, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Follow all health and safety regulations to uphold a safe working environment
- Assist with inventory checks and restocking supplies as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or food service environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety procedures is advantageous
- Experience with meal preparation, cooking, or culinary tasks will be beneficial for the role
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices is preferred
