Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team as a Brick/blocklayer. This role involves hands-on construction and maintenance work, requiring a strong understanding of various building techniques and tools. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality craftsmanship across a range of projects, ensuring safety and efficiency on site. Duties
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete bricklaying tasks.
- Assist in the construction, repair, and maintenance of structures using masonry and other building techniques.
- Operate and maintain equipment safely, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Prepare sites by clearing debris, setting out work areas, and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality control and compliance with specifications.
- Assist with project planning by interpreting technical drawings and instructions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with hand tools, power tools, bricklaying, masonry, carpentry, roofing, or welding is highly desirable.
- Ability to work confidently with specialised equipment related to construction tasks.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures on site.
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in construction trades are advantageous but not essential.
- A proactive attitude with the willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different project requirements. All positions are paid accordingly for the work performed.
- This is a Gurnsey based project. Transport and digs to Guernsey will be provided. Price work is also an option for the right candidate at £2.00 per block.
Pay: £250.00-£270.00 per day
