Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and professional Compound Receptionist / Administrator to cover maternity leave. This role involves managing front desk operations, providing administrative support, and ensuring smooth communication within the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the depot reception and compound administration
- Handling high volumes of incoming telephone calls and enquiries
- Liaising with customers, Police Authorities, and partner organisations
- Ensuring company procedures and legislative requirements are followed
- Processing documentation accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining clear and professional communication with customers and colleagues
- Ensuring all information is processed in accordance with GDPR and company data protection policies
- Assisting with general depot administrative duties as required
Experience
- Previous office experience is essential, ideally within an administrative or reception role.
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook),
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records.
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
- Strong organisation and prioritisation abilities
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude with the ability to work as part of a team
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass Police National Vetting (essential due to contract requirements)
- Transport required as initial training will take place at our St Helens depot

Pay: Up to £12.50 per hour
