Warehouse Operative – Stafford (ST16)
£14.68 per hour | Full-Time | Temp to Perm Opportunity
We are currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives on behalf of our established client based in Stafford (ST16). This site specialises in handling product returns from leading home improvement retailers, ensuring items are processed, checked, and prepared for resale.

Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating shifts:
- 06:00 – 14:00
- 14:00 – 22:00
Pay Rate
- £14.68 per hour
- Weekly pay (in arrears)
Key Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Operative, your duties may include working across multiple departments such as:
- Returns Processing: Handling returned goods and preparing them for further processing
- Check-In: Booking in deliveries using scanners and warehouse systems, ensuring accuracy
- Put Away: Allocating stock to correct warehouse locations using handheld scanners
- Inspection & Testing: Assessing returned electrical items, identifying faults, and carrying out basic checks/repairs
- Packing & Labelling: Preparing items for resale, ensuring correct packaging and labelling
You will be expected to use handheld scanners and computer systems as part of your daily tasks.
Requirements
- Good level of English and basic maths (assessment required at registration)
- Comfortable using IT systems (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work towards targets and KPIs
- Positive, can-do attitude
- No pre-booked holidays within the first 4 weeks
No previous warehouse experience is required as full training will be provided.
