Overview
We are recruiting a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to maintain a doctor’s surgery to a consistently high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. This is a keyholder-style role requiring trust, professionalism, and the ability to work independently.
Medical environments require strict attention to infection control standards, surface sanitisation, and presentation. This position suits someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work and understands the importance of maintaining a safe, hygienic clinical environment for patients and staff.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 7:00pm – 9:00pm
- Saturday: 12:00pm – 2:00pm
- Total: 12 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning clinical rooms, waiting areas, reception, offices, kitchens and toilets
- Sanitising high-touch surfaces to infection control standards
- Vacuuming, mopping and floor care
- Emptying bins and managing waste appropriately
- Replenishing consumables (soap, paper towels, toilet roll etc.)
- Ensuring the premises are secure when leaving
- Reporting any issues or stock requirements
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience preferred (medical or commercial beneficial)
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent standards
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently
- Trustworthy and responsible (keyholder responsibility may apply)
- Right to work in the UK
