The Bees Knees Nursery is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic early years professional to join our team as we expand our nursery. We took over The Bees Knees Nursery in May of last year after deciding to expand from our original nursery, Outdoor Nursery Edinburgh. This is an exciting time for us as we grow, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for outdoor learning and child development.
The Bees Knees Nursery is well established in Currie and is a 19 place nursery with excellent indoor and outdoor facilities, including access to local parks and walks, where children experience the full benefits of outdoor and indoor learning. Our mission is to inspire young minds through nature, helping them develop essential life skills.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and ambitious team, highly valued by a dedicated and experienced management team. The role offers regular training and support to promote both professional and personal growth. A passion for the outdoors and the benefits of learning in nature is essential.
We are looking for someone who can do 20-40 hours per week, we are unable to give static work days.
Requirements:
- Experience in an early years setting (nursery or school-based).
- A relevant qualification (SVQ Level 3 or 4, HNC, GTC registration, or equivalent)
- A positive outlook and a collaborative team spirit.
- Ability to support the individual needs of children, indoors and outdoors, while fostering their learning.
- Commitment to meeting standards set by the Care Inspectorate and Scottish Government.
- Ability to follow the curriculum and manage required paperwork.

The role is available as soon as the right candidate is found. The position offers flexible hours, Monday to Friday on a rota basis, with potential for adjustment to suit the right person.
Salary: £13.50 - £14.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
