Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and creative individuals to join a team Creative Activity Workers.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and facilitating engaging activities tailored to all ages, abilities and nationalities, including family groups, age specific groups or mixed age groups.
Through meaningful and stimulating activities, you will foster social interaction and support the emotional well-being of people attending activities, as well as fellow colleagues.
Previous experience in creative activities, whether through employment or self-employment or as a hobby.
Experience in offering or performing reative activities is desirable.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a variety of creative activities suitable for all ages, including people with diverse needs, which may include groups with dementia or Alzheimer's.
- Facilitate group activities that encourage socialisation, cognitive stimulation, and physical movement.
- Assess individuals preferences and abilities to tailor activities accordingly.
- Maintain a safe environment during activities, ensuring all equipment and materials are used appropriately.
- Document activities, attendees participation and progress, when necessary, to provide feedback relevant outside groups.
- When necessary, collaborate with the care teams to integrate activity programmes, whether on site or remotely.
- Encourage independence and self-expression through personalised activity options.
- Organise special events or themed days to promote community engagement within the facility.
Skills
- Prior experience in offering activities or activity skills is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer’s care principles to adapt activities for attendees with cognitive impairments, is highly advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with attendees and colleagues.
- Creativity and organisational skills to design engaging programmes tailored to group or individual needs.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of individuals.
- Ability to work independently as well as with colleagues to provide activities for all ages, age specific groups.
