Help Lead the Launch of a New Children's Home
Mandy Support Ltd is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead the final stages of Ofsted registration and the opening of our new solo children's residential home in Leicestershire.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the culture, standards and future of a new service from day one, working alongside an experienced Responsible Individual and Directors who are committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for children and young people.
Our home has been extensively prepared, with recruitment well underway, operational systems established and compliance documentation in place. We are looking for a Registered Manager who can take ownership of the final registration process and lead the service into operation.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the completion of the Ofsted registration process.
- Act as the Registered Manager for the home.
- Ensure full compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing care team.
- Promote a positive safeguarding culture throughout the service.
- Build strong relationships with local authorities and external professionals.
- Prepare for Ofsted registration and future inspections.
- Drive continuous improvement and achieve excellent outcomes for young people.
About You
Essential:
- Experience within children's residential care.
- Eligible to become, or already working as, a Registered Manager.
- Thorough understanding of the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Previous experience opening or registering a children's home.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete if applicable).
- Good or Outstanding Ofsted inspection history.
- Experience supporting children with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
