Duties
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained.
- Keep the kitchen area clean and tidy, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and assist in its proper storage after use.
- Help with stock rotation and inventory management to ensure ingredients are used within their shelf life.
- Support chefs during busy service periods by delivering ingredients or assisting with basic cooking tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and communication throughout the kitchen.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
