We have 83 group staff, across 4 locations globally across the UK, EU and US, with UK manufacturing operations in both Bristol and Liverpool.
Role Overview: The ideal candidate will be a good cultural fit aligned to company values (Customer Obsessed, Agile, Relentless) and have relevant experience in a Quality Controller or Quality Management role in a group manufacturing or multi-site business. They should feel comfortable taking ownership of the raising and management of Non-Conformances (NCRs) group wide, liaising directly with clients to ensure a satisfactory resolution, and ensuring corrective actions are robust and genuinely prevent recurrence. The candidate needs a relentless and detail-driven approach to embedding quality control across every order, driving down NCR numbers against agreed targets, and maintaining the integrity of the group's ISO accreditations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raising and managing Non-Conformances (NCRs) from identification through to close-out, ensuring root cause analysis is thorough and corrective/preventative actions are robust and embedded
- Producing 8D and 5 Whys reports for major NCRs, along with other quality investigation tools as appropriate (e.g. Fishbone/Ishikawa analysis, Pareto analysis, FMEA, root cause corrective action plans)
- Liaising with clients on quality issues to ensure outcomes are satisfactory, maintaining strong working relationships throughout
- Responding to client queries relating to quality, and holding meetings as required with clients and suppliers
- Continuously improving current quality processes and systems to drive a constant reduction in group NCR numbers, in line with agreed targets
- Ensuring every order is quality control checked, with clear QC levels defined based on order importance, sensitivity, and complexity, applied consistently group wide
- Carrying out internal audits across the group to ensure systems and processes are being adhered to and remain fit for purpose
- Taking full responsibility for maintaining the group's existing ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO27001 accreditations
- Any other suitable roles relating to Group quality control
