Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Drylining /Plastering/ Making Good specialist to join our construction team. We operate within a 50 mile radius of Reading. This role involves expertly finishing interior walls and ceilings by installing drywall, plasterboard, and performing essential finishing tasks to ensure high-quality, smooth surfaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction finishing, with a keen eye for detail. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects, from new builds to refurbishment works, in an environment that values craftsmanship and efficiency.
Duties
- Install drywall, plasterboard, and other lining materials accurately according to project specifications and schematics
- Carry out making good activities including patching, skimming, filling, sanding, and surface preparation for painting or further finishing
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to cut, shape, and secure materials
- Perform minor repairs on existing surfaces such as cracks, holes, or damaged areas to restore surface integrity
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently during all tasks to maintain a safe working environment
Experience
- Proven experience in drylining, plastering, or making good within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations related to construction finishing work
- Previous experience working on diverse projects including new builds or refurbishment sites is preferred
