Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, and edging to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy
- Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes efficiently and safely
- Use power tools including trimmers, blowers, and small machinery to support landscaping projects
- Support excavation activities using equipment like mini-excavators or skid steers for site preparation and planting beds
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and installing sprinkler lines and controllers
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
- Collaborate with team members on construction projects such as installing patios, walkways, or retaining walls while adhering to safety protocols
Experience
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is highly desirable
- Construction experience involving outdoor projects is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining landscaping equipment
- Familiarity with horticulture principles and plant care techniques
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as excavators or loaders
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive attitude towards safety procedures and environmental stewardship
