Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves collecting plastic containers from conveyor belts, inspecting and packing them. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of food safety standards, and mechanical aptitude. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the food production industry and contribute to high-quality product output.
Shift patterns are: Monday-Friday 06:45-19:00 and 18:45-07:00, rotating over 5 days, no weekends. There are 2x 30 minute paid breaks per shift
Please note that there isn't public transport routes near site so capability to attend site will need to be considered before applying
Responsibilities
- Following production and customer specifications
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to prevent malfunctions
- Keeping up with the pace of production and being able to hit production targets
- Record production data accurately, including quantities produced and any issues encountered
- Following health and safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets efficiently and safely
Experience
- Prior manufacturing experience is desirable
- Previous shift working preferably 12 hours in manufacturing
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with industrial machinery is beneficial
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and data recording are required
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
