As a Senior Manager, you will independently manage engagements or major workstreams in large programmes, with appropriate direction from engagement partners and directors. You'll serve as a key point of review on all deliverables, develop a broader pipeline of client relationships to support sales, and devote time to coaching junior team members and creating a culture that draws strength from diversity and inclusion.
What you will be working on:

Independently managing complex end-to-end client engagements and major workstreams, acting as the senior Deloitte presence on projects
- Building trusted senior client relationships across both in-house legal departments and law firms, acting as a recognised advisor at senior leadership level including on AI and technology-enabled transformation

Actively developing and owning your own sales pipeline, and building your personal brand as an LMC specialist through thought leadership and professional networks
- Taking a leading role in shaping LMC propositions and market positioning, and inspiring high-performing, diverse teams across multiple engagements
- Assignments spanning the full legal market including in-house legal departments and law firms, supporting clients in understanding and adopting AI and digital technologies to transform their legal operations
What you can expect in your day-to-day role:

Providing a vision for deliverables, owning key client relationships, and maintaining expert knowledge in LMC tools and frameworks — using PowerPoint, Excel, Swift, PairD and Legora as core delivery tools

Communicating proactively and effectively with clients and colleagues, confidently leading meetings, constructing clear narratives, and holding difficult conversations where needed

Building and maintaining senior client relationships, leveraging specialist knowledge to articulate the value LMC brings, and proactively identifying new opportunities across Deloitte Legal and the wider firm

Planning and managing engagements on time and within budget, leading teams by setting clear expectations, delegating appropriately and driving team accountability for delivery

Fostering a collaborative and inspiring team environment, acting as People Leader for individuals, supporting career development planning, and identifying skills needs for the future of the LMC practice

Leading sales efforts, owning the development of pursuit materials, establishing client relationships beyond immediate engagements, and identifying new business development opportunities

Actively building your personal brand internally and externally — publishing thought leadership, contributing to external events, and collaborating globally with other Deloitte practitioners to drive innovation
Connect to your skills and professional experience
- Significant consulting experience with a strong record of independently managing complex engagements in the legal, professional services or adjacent sector

Demonstrable understanding of the challenges and requirements of in-house legal departments and/or law firms, including the opportunities and implications of AI and digital technologies

Proven experience shaping and managing complex change and transformation projects, with hands-on experience across a wide range of methodologies — including technology implementation, process reengineering and legal technology solutions

A strong grasp of the opportunities, risks and practical implications of AI and digital technologies for legal service delivery, with the ability to leverage specialist knowledge to articulate the value LMC brings

Proven senior client relationship management skills, with experience building trusted advisory relationships across in-house legal departments and law firms, and a demonstrable track record in business development

A confident, considered point of view on complex issues, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and hold difficult conversations with clients and team members

Strong people leadership experience, with a record of developing and inspiring diverse, multidisciplinary teams

Excellent commercial acumen including engagement pricing, scoping, budget management and profitability; high proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Swift, PairD and Legora; and a degree or similar qualification. Relevant certifications such as Prince2, PMI/APM, Prosci or Lean Six Sigma are an advantage

Personal independence
Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
