LMD Vacuum Excavation Group is seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to oversee daily administrative operations within our organisation. The Office Manager will be responsible for maintaining efficient office procedures, managing administrative processes, supporting staff, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Management
- Oversee daily office operations
- Maintain office procedures and keep company policies and procedures up to date
- Organise filing systems and company records
- Schedule meetings and appointments
- Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence
Staff Supervision
- Supervise office staff
- Assign tasks and monitor performance
- Assist with onboarding and training new employees
- Manage employee attendance and leave records
Office Coordination
- Ensure office equipment is functioning properly
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance
- Manage office supplies inventory and place orders
- Handle vendor and supplier relationships
Communication
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communication
- Answer calls, emails, and enquiries professionally
- Coordinate communication between departments
Human Resources Support
- Support recruitment and interview scheduling
- Maintain employee records
- Help implement workplace policies and procedures
Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Ensure workplace safety standards are followed
- Maintain confidentiality of company information
- Ensure compliance with company and legal regulations
Skills
- Excellent communication, leadership and management skills
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Highly organised and proactive with excellent attention to detail
- Builds strong working relationships and leads others effectively
- Some knowledge of Health and Safety in the context of an office environment
- Experience in an HR/Operations or PA role or a combination of these.
- Proven experience (1-3 years) in an Office Manager or Senior Administrator Role with some exposure to employee relations and the confidence to handle sensitive matters with discretion
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £27,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
