Front of House Barista and Assistant Manager

We're looking for an experienced and trustworthy Front of House Barista including part time Assistant Manager for a busy and ever growing restaurant.
Training will be provided. Weekend shift included. This is a permanent position so we encourage you not to apply if you are just looking for seasonal work. Thank you.
Position would include making various types of coffees/teas from a manual machine, serving meals, taking orders on the iPad/tills, clearing tables and working alongside other Team Members to provide service with a smile!
Taking on 2/3 days a week and holiday cover Assistant Manger:
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the Cafe Manager with the daily operation of the cafe
- Leading, motivating and supporting the team during busy shifts
- Delivering friendly, efficient and exceptional customer service
- Helping with staff training, rotas and team development
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and presentation
- Supporting stock control, ordering and cash handling
- Ensuring opening and closing procedures are completed correctly
- Dealing confidently with customer queries and resolving issues
- Helping to drive sales and achieve cafe targets
- Stepping up to manage the cafe in the Manager’s absence
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, hospitality or retail supervisory role
- Strong communication and people-management skills
- A positive, hands-on approach and a genuine passion for customer service
- The ability to stay calm and organised in a busy environment
- A good eye for detail and high standards
- Someone who leads by example and enjoys working as part of a team
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends
The candidate must be reliable, trustworthy, hard working and not afraid to fill in in various roles if needed. We are a family run business and our team really is one big family.
Hours between 8.30am-5.00pm
Pay - £13.00 per hour experience depending and increased pay with managerial shifts
