Carpentry Mentor & Skills Trainer
We’re looking for a skilled Carpenter who genuinely enjoys helping others grow. In this role, you’ll work closely with apprentices on a one‑to‑one basis, guiding them through every stage of their carpentry journey — from roofs and stairs to finishing work.
What the role involves
- Visiting apprentices on-site in a company Luton van (mostly within 100 miles)
- Occasional overnight stays — normally four nights per month, grouped into one week (all costs covered)
- Providing hands-on training, support and encouragement
- Uploading evidence and progress updates to an online portfolio
- One dedicated work-from-home day each week to complete admin and portfolio tasks
- Training provided to help you develop your teaching and coaching skills
What we’re looking for
- A well-rounded Carpenter with experience across all major carpentry disciplines
- Someone patient, supportive and committed to helping apprentices succeed
- Comfortable using computers and online systems
- Full UK driving licence
Job Type: Apprenticeship
Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
