Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, tooling, and precision machining techniques. The ideal applicant will have experience with Fanuc software, milling machining steel products along with excellent attention to detail and safety standards. Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines according to specifications and technical drawings.
- Programme CNC equipment using Fanuc operating system software such as SolidWorks and other relevant tools.
- Operate CNC machinery efficiently while maintaining quality standards throughout production runs.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised tooling to assist in machine setup and adjustments.
- Monitor machine operations to detect issues early and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities and machine performance data.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during operations.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC machine setting and operation within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in milling
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar programmes for programming purposes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised tooling for assembly and maintenance tasks.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.
- Knowledge of tooling selection and optimisation for various materials including plastics.
- Experience working with assembly processes in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team while adhering to safety standards.
