Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant/Carer to provide personalised support to individuals in their daily lives. This role involves assisting with personal care, household tasks, and ensuring the well-being of clients within a home care or care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference. Experience in care environments and driving skills are highly desirable to facilitate mobility.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Managing household tasks including light cleaning, meal preparation, and shopping assistance
- Driving clients to appointments, social activities, or errands
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care setting is advantageous
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive clients safely to various locations is essential
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow prescribed routines accurately
- Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills
- Good organisational skills and the ability to adapt to changing needs of clients
