Join Our Finance Team
We're looking for an organised and proactive Sales Ledger Administrator to join our small, friendly finance team.
Working alongside our Sales Ledger Supervisor and Finance Director, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You'll become an integral member of the team, ensuring our finance processes run efficiently while helping us maintain accurate financial records and continually improve the way we work.

This role is based full-time at our Bristol office Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00 and is not offered on a hybrid or remote-working basis.
The Role
As our Sales Ledger Administrator, you'll be responsible for:
- Managing the sales ledger and customer accounts.
- Producing customer invoices and credit notes, including month-end sales ledger reconciliations.
- Carrying out daily reconciliation of customer receipts and online payments.
- Managing credit control activities and proactively following up outstanding payments.
- Investigating invoice and account queries with customers and internal departments to ensure prompt resolution.
- Setting up new customer accounts, carrying out Credit checks and maintaining accurate customer records.
- Processing customer receipts and allocating payments.
- Working closely with the Sales Ledger Supervisor and Finance Director to support the wider finance function.
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and controls.
- Providing general finance and administrative support across the business.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, dependable and enjoys working in a busy office environment. You'll have excellent attention to detail, take pride in producing accurate work and be confident managing your own workload.
Essential
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts or sales ledger role.
- Experience with sales invoicing, customer account administration and credit control.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with customers, colleagues and internal departments.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- A proactive, reliable approach with a willingness to support the wider finance team and continuously improve processes.
Desirable
- Experience working within a busy commercial or construction-related environment.
- Experience investigating and resolving invoice or payment queries with customers and operational teams.
- Experience with credit control.
