Overview
We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Sandwich/Toastie Maker and All-Rounder. This role involves preparing a variety of delicious sandwiches and toasties, alongside supporting general kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in food production or a culinary setting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

2/3 days a week including a saturday. More hours when covering staff holiday.
This is a permanent role, an average of 18 hours per week.
EXPERIENCE IN A BUSY KITCHEN WOULD HELP GREATLY!
Basic food hygiene certificate needed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a range of sandwiches, toasties, and other hot snacks according to company recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, hygienically, and in accordance with food safety regulations
- Operate kitchen equipment such as toasters, grills, and ovens efficiently and safely
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area throughout shifts
- Support with general food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, and packaging ingredients
- Assist with stock control by monitoring ingredient levels and notifying management of shortages
- Uphold high standards of customer service by ensuring orders are completed promptly and accurately
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience in food production, food preparation.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, baking, and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends if required; however, this role primarily involves weekday hours
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic kitchen setting
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to food handlin
