Street Furniture Painter / Lighting Column Painter
Location: Doncaster (working throughout the UK)

About Us
R L P Painting Contractors are an established industrial painting contractor delivering projects across the UK. We specialise in the preparation and protective coating of street furniture, lighting columns and structural steelwork for local authorities, principal contractors and commercial clients.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit experienced Street Furniture / Lighting Column Painters to join our team.
The Role
This is a site-based role involving travel and working away during the week. Most projects are located in London, Brighton and the South East, with accommodation and travel arranged by the company.
Typical duties include:
- Surface preparation of lighting columns and street furniture.
- Mechanical and hand preparation of steelwork.
- Application of protective coatings by brush, roller and spray.
- Working safely from MEWPs.
- Completing work to client specifications and quality standards.
- Following company health and safety procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and professional working environment.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in industrial painting or street furniture painting.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- CSCS Card/ICATS/Train the Painter.
- IPAF 1b, 3a & 3b.
- Willingness to work away Monday to Friday.
- Good attitude, reliability and strong work ethic.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Temporary Traffic Management
- Experience painting lighting columns and highway assets.
- Abrasive Wheels.
- First Aid at Work.
- Additional industry qualifications are advantageous.
