Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Deputy Manager Nursery to join our team. In this role, you will support the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality childcare, and maintaining a positive environment for both children and staff. Your leadership will be vital in delivering exceptional early childhood education and ensuring smooth nursery functions.
Duties
- Assist the Nursery Manager in managing daily nursery activities and staff schedules
- Support the implementation of Montessori-based curriculum tailored to children's developmental needs
- Supervise staff to ensure high standards of childcare, safety, and hygiene are maintained at all times
- Engage with children actively, encouraging their curiosity, independence, and social skills
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and nursery updates
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards governing childcare facilities
- Lead by example in fostering a warm, inclusive, and motivating environment for both children and team members
Skills
- Proven management and leadership experience within a nursery or childcare setting
- Strong communication skills in English to interact confidently with children, parents, and staff
- Extensive experience working with children, especially in early childhood education or childcare roles
- Knowledge of nursery operations, health & safety regulations, and child development principles
- Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively while maintaining a positive work environment
- Valid driving license is advantageous for operational flexibility
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing daily routines and documentation

Pay: £33,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
