We are looking for an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of our Supported Living services across Manchester. As a Service Manager, you will lead and inspire your team to deliver exceptional support while ensuring services remain fully compliant with CQC standards and relevant legislation.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the operational management of supported living services, ensuring the people we support receive safe, effective, and person-centred care that promotes choice, independence, dignity, and positive outcomes.
You will work closely with support staff, families, healthcare professionals, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure each individual receives the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and promote a positive, inclusive, and values-driven culture across the service.
- Provide day-to-day operational management of supported living services.
- Recruit, supervise, mentor, and develop Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding legislation, and organisational policies.
- Monitor service quality through audits, observations, and quality assurance processes.
- Develop, implement, and review person-centred support plans and risk assessments.
- Complete assessments, reviews, and care planning in partnership with individuals, families, and professionals.
- Chair and attend multidisciplinary meetings (MDTs), reviews, and professionals' meetings.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, commissioners, healthcare professionals, and families.
- Monitor staffing levels, rotas, and service performance to ensure effective service delivery.
- Manage incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns, and investigations appropriately.
- Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota to provide management support when required.
- Promote continuous improvement and positive outcomes for the people we support.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and has the confidence to lead and motivate teams within a fast-paced supported living environment.
You will have:
- NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (essential)
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or willingness to work towards)
- At least 5 years' experience managing or supervising health and social care services
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or other complex needs
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, MCA, DoLS, and person-centred care
- The ability to work effectively with commissioners, professionals, and families
- A proactive and solution-focused approach
- A full UK driving licence (preferred)

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Participation in the management on-call rota
- Office and community-based role across Manchester
