An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate and ambitious Head Chef to lead the kitchen at Salt on the Harbour, one of Yorkshire's leading coastal restaurants.
Proud winners of the Yorkshire Life Food & Drink Awards 2023 and Finalists in the 2025/26 Remarkable Taste of East Yorkshire Awards, we're known for creating exceptional dishes using the finest local produce in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
This role would suit an experienced Head Chef, but we'd also love to hear from an ambitious Sous Chef who is ready to take the next step into their first Head Chef position. We'll support the right person to make that move.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and inspiring the kitchen team.
- Delivering consistently high-quality food and presentation.
- Creating seasonal menus with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
- Managing stock, food costs and kitchen budgets.
- Maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards.
- Working closely with the owners to continue building Salt's award-winning reputation.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or a strong Sous Chef ready for promotion.
- A passion for fresh, seasonal cooking.
- Positive leadership skills and the ability to develop a team.
- Good understanding of food GP and kitchen management.
- Calm under pressure with excellent organisational skills.
- A genuine desire to help drive the business forward.
