We are seeking an organised and student-focused MSc Course Administrator to manage the administration of a postgraduate taught programme. This varied role covers admissions, student support, assessments, committee administration and course delivery, working closely with students and academic staff.
The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £16.92 per hour + holiday pay
Key Duties:
- Act as the first point of contact for students, providing guidance on course and graduate matters
- Advise academic staff on relevant regulations, policies and procedures
- Manage postgraduate admissions administration, including interviews, offers, college liaison and visa/CAS processes
- Coordinate on-course administration, including induction, course materials, student records and coursework
- Manage assessment processes, including examination boards, marks and examiner reports
- Process routine financial administration, including tutor and assessor payments
- Organise and service course committees, preparing papers and reporting on admissions, assessments and student feedback
- Maintain accurate student records, databases and information systems
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure effective programme delivery and information sharing
- Keep up to date with policy and regulatory changes and provide team cover when required
Selection Criteria:
- A-level education or equivalent, with significant administrative experience
- Experience in higher education or student administration desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to understand, interpret and explain regulations and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence working with students, academics and other stakeholders
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, spreadsheets and databases
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
