Job Description
We're looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Chef to join our kitchen team at Las Iguanas. If you enjoy creating fresh, vibrant dishes in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering great food every time, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to Las Iguanas' recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety.
- Ensure all food is prepared efficiently during busy service periods.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation.
- Assist with stock rotation, deliveries, and inventory management.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to provide an excellent guest experience.
- Follow all food safety and health & safety procedures.
- Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and help train new team members where required.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Chef, Line Chef, or Commis Chef in a busy restaurant.
- A passion for fresh food and high-quality cooking.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations (Level 2 Food Hygiene is desirable).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
