We’re looking for passionate chefs from all levels and backgrounds to join our friendly kitchen team at The Old Wharf Inn – a family-owned, canalside pub known for real ales, craft spirits, and great food.
Run by landlord Jack, our small but lively pub sits right on Canal Street, with decking overlooking the Stourbridge Canal – a favourite spot for both locals and visitors.
We’re proud to be ranked No. 33 in the Top 100 Pubs in the UK, recognised for one of the Top 50 Sunday Lunches and featured in the Good Food Guide – something our whole team worked hard to achieve.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience cooking with fresh ingredients (preferred, but not essential)
- A calm, organised approach and clean-as-you-go mindset
- Team players who thrive in a fast-paced kitchen
- Background as a Sous Chef, Grill Chef, Line Chef, Chef de Partie, Commis Chef – or anywhere in between!

About Our Food & Drink
- Seasonal menus and unique bar snacks served throughout the day

Your Responsibilities
- Maintain stock rotation and ingredient quality (first-in, first-out)
- Keep cooking stations fully prepped for busy service
- Ensure food storage and hygiene meet top standards
- Clean down and close the kitchen at the end of each shift
