Overview
We are working with a local company based in Mallusk who are seeking a dedicated Warehouse supervisor to work alongside the warehouse staff in a large parcel sorting and delivery company based in Mallusk.
Shift pattern
Monday - Friday 11.00pm - 20.00hrs
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse operatives.
- Allocate workloads and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Monitor staff performance, attendance and productivity.
- Provide training, coaching and support to warehouse team members.
- Ensure all goods are received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist with regular stock counts and inventory control.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and quality standards.
- Promote and enforce safe working practices, ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety legislation.
- Conduct regular warehouse inspections and risk assessments.
- Ensure equipment is used safely and reported for maintenance when required.
- Liaise with transport, procurement, customer service and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Prepare operational reports and maintain warehouse documentation.
- Act as the first point of contact for operational issues during shifts.
- Manage correspondence by answering emails and sorting mail
- You will assist in the Pre-Brief/De-Brief and complete Driver documentation.
- Complete all admin tasks and maintain a suitable filing system including SP/employee vetting, driver set up processes, ID badge ordering
The successful candidate must have the following:
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads.
- Good understanding of inventory management processes.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and warehouse best practices.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft systems including word and excel
