Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive General Maintenance Technician with good experience in the hospitality industry to join our team.
OVERVIEW
The General Maintenance is responsible for supporting the upkeep and maintenance of the hotel's facilities to ensure they remain safe, functional, and well-presented. The role involves carrying out a variety of maintenance tasks, responding to repair requests, and helping to maintain a high standard of service for guests and staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform basic repairs on plumbing, electrical, air-conditioning, lighting, and furniture
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests from guests and housekeeping staff.
- Maintain hotel equipment, tools, and machinery.
- Ensure safety standards and fire regulations are followed.
- Basic repair walls, doors, locks, tiles, and fixtures when needed.
- Keep public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house facilities well maintained.
- Coordinate with external contractors when necessary.
· All maintenance activities must comply with UK health and safety regulations, fire codes, and building standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in hotel or building maintenance preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, or emergencies.
Pay: From £26,437.00 per year
