This role involves working with both hand and power tools to create and install wooden structures, fixtures, and fittings, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship throughout the process.
Duties
- Perform joinery tasks with precision, ensuring all measurements and specifications are met.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various construction projects.
- Carry out roofing tasks as required, ensuring structural integrity and weatherproofing.
- Assist in heavy lifting and moving of materials as necessary during the construction process.
- Engage in construction painting to finish surfaces to a high standard.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project completion.
Skills
- Proficient in fabrication techniques and assembly processes.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry principles and practices.
- Experienced in joinery with a keen eye for detail.
- Competent in using hand tools such as chisels, saws, and hammers.
- Skilled in operating power tools safely, including drills and saws.
- Familiarity with roofing techniques and materials.
- Capable of heavy lifting to assist with material handling on-site.
- Knowledgeable in construction painting methods for finishing work.
- Basic plumbing skills to support installation tasks as needed.
- Understanding of masonry principles for constructing durable structures.
