Salary: £16,460 pro rata (£26,000 FTE)
Hours: 27.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9:30am–3:30pm
Contract: Term Time Only – 39.2 weeks per year
About the Company
We are currently recruiting for an organised, proactive and experienced Administrator to join a friendly team within a specialist school setting, providing essential administrative support around the medical care of autistic children and young adults.
About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll play an important part in keeping medical records, procedures, training and first aid processes organised, accurate and up to date.

Responsibilities
- Checking medication and associated equipment in line with agreed procedures
- Supporting the creation and annual review of pupils' Individual Healthcare Plans
- Liaising with parents, medical professionals and school staff regarding medication and emergency procedures
- Coordinating and recording immunisations, medical appointments and visits
- Monitoring first aid incident logs and providing feedback to staff and management
- Producing monthly reports on medical incidents and pupils' medical needs
- Supporting Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) meetings and debriefs
- Monitoring sickness, illness and infection across the school
- Maintaining medical training records and arranging refresher training
- Checking and replenishing medical room and first aid supplies
- Ensuring medication administration and records are completed accurately and in line with GDPR requirements
- Acting as a first point of contact for staff requiring medical support as a trained first aider
- Providing wider administrative support to the Senior Management and Administration Teams
- Supporting learner arrivals and departures
- Providing reception cover when required
- Assisting with meeting minutes and wider events
- Supporting emergency procedures and drills when required
Qualifications
- Good general education to A-level standard or equivalent
- GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths
Required Skills
- YOU MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE USING YOUR OWN VEHICLE AS THERE IS NO PUBLIC TRANSPORT AVAILABLE.
- Strong administrative experience and excellent organisational skills
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to prioritise effectively and work logically in a busy environment
- A proactive approach and the confidence to use your own initiative
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate records
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
Preferred Skills
- Experience within a medical, school, healthcare or care environment would be an advantage, but is not essential.
