The exterior of the hotel, adorned with creeping ivy and colourful flowers, welcomes guests with its traditional Scottish charm. As you step inside, you're greeted by a cozy lobby, complete with comfortable seating areas and a crackling fireplace.
The hotel's restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience, showcasing locally sourced ingredients and traditional Scottish recipes with a contemporary twist. Whether you're enjoying a hearty breakfast to start your day or savouring a gourmet dinner by candlelight, the dining experience at Woodside Hotel is sure to delight your taste buds.
The guest rooms at Woodside Hotel Doune are tastefully decorated, combining modern amenities with classic Scottish touches. From plush bedding to spacious en-suite bathrooms, each room provides a comfortable sanctuary for guests to relax and recharge.
Renumeration: The on target earning for this role is £34,411.40 per annum - comprising a base salary of £30,911.40 plus a qualified estimate of £3,500 in gratuities and service charge
Position Overview: As a Restaurant / Hotel Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our hotel & restaurant , ensuring smooth service, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. You will lead by example, providing guidance and support to our team members while upholding the values and principles of our establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders.
- Ensure seamless operation during service hours, managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest inquiries.
- Train and mentor team members, providing ongoing coaching to enhance their skills and performance.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and service efficiency, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in dining areas, restrooms, and kitchen facilities.
- Handle customer complaints and feedback with professionalism and tact, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with food handling guidelines and sanitation standards.
- Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll processing, and maintaining records of sales and expenses.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hotel / restaurant industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences to guests.
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Proficiency in POS systems and restaurant management software.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
