Retail Security Officer – Luxury Retail Store

We are currently looking for an experienced Retail Security Officer to join our team at a luxury retail store. The successful candidate must have previous experience in retail security, loss prevention, and customer-facing security operations.
This role requires a professional, confident, and well-presented individual who can work as part of a strong security team while maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, customers, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high security presence within the store.
- Prevent theft, loss, and suspicious activity through effective observation and patrols.
- Support the store team with loss prevention procedures.
- Monitor customer activity and respond professionally to any security concerns.
- Work closely with other security officers and store management.
- Carry out regular internal patrols of the retail floor and back-of-house areas.
- Report incidents, thefts, suspicious behaviour, and safety concerns.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional security approach.
- Follow company procedures, assignment instructions, and site policies at all times.
- Assist with emergency situations, evacuations, and incident management when required.
Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard licence.
- Previous retail security experience is essential.
- Previous loss prevention experience is essential.
- Experience working in a luxury retail or high-end retail environment is preferred.
- Must be professional, reliable, and well presented.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team of security officers.
- Confident in dealing with difficult situations calmly and professionally.
- Good understanding of theft prevention, incident reporting, and retail security procedures.
- Must be punctual, flexible, and committed to maintaining high standards.
