Duties
- Diagnose and develop customised orthodontic treatment plans using CAD technology for precise appliance design.
- Apply fixed braces and aligners, ensuring optimal fit and function tailored to individual patient needs.
- Utilise medical imaging techniques, including digital radiography, to monitor treatment progress and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain detailed patient records, documenting treatment stages and outcomes accurately.
- Educate patients on orthodontic procedures, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care to ensure successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with dental team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care and optimise treatment results.
- Stay informed of the latest advancements in orthodontic materials, techniques, and digital workflows through continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified Dentist with a recognised dental degree and valid registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
- Specialisation or significant experience in Orthodontics, particularly with Fixed appliances and Clear Aligners.
- Proficiency in CAD software utilised for designing orthodontic appliances.
- Strong anatomical knowledge relevant to craniofacial structures and dental biomechanics.
- Experience with medical imaging modalities such as digital radiography or 3D imaging systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly to patients.
