Work as a Responsible Individual for an established and expanding Children’s Residential Care provider with homes across the North West. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Responsible Individual or Regional Manager to oversee a manageable portfolio of established EBD and Learning Disability services, alongside homes currently progressing through registration.
The organisation currently has 9 homes open with a further 3 in the pipeline. The portfolio will be divided between two Responsible Individuals, meaning you will initially oversee approximately 4–5 homes, with support from an experienced Senior Leadership Team.

Responsible Individual Requirements:
- Extensive experience within Children’s Residential Care
- Previous Responsible Individual or Regional Management experience
- Experience overseeing multiple Registered Managers and services
- Strong Ofsted track record
- Experience supporting EBD and/or Learning Disability homes
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, compliance and the Children’s Homes Regulations
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the region
As a Responsible Individual, you’ll provide operational and regulatory oversight across a portfolio of four-bedded detached children’s homes. The services are located across Liverpool, Wirral, Preston, Wigan, Stoke and the surrounding North West areas, with the Head Office based in Nantwich.
The homes within the portfolio are either established operational services or currently progressing through Ofsted registration. Most of the operational homes are rated Good or above, with two services requiring additional support and improvement.
You’ll work closely with Registered Managers and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure effective safeguarding, regulatory compliance, strong leadership and consistently high standards of care. You’ll support Managers with service development, Ofsted preparation, performance management, disciplinaries and all operational and KPI-related matters.
