An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the well-established and innovative multidisciplinary New Leaf Service. This 12 months fixed term/secondment opportunity is dedicated to supporting looked after children and adopted/children subject to Specialist Guardianship Order in North East Hampshire, whilst working closely with the New Leaf Service in Surrey.
My job makes better lives by providing the day-to-day co-ordination and delivery of intensive specialist intervention for children living in the area of North East Hampshire, with the support of the Epsom based specialist New Leaf Service. Contributing to the continual transformation of emotional health and well-being support for children, families and carers in Northeast Hampshire, working in line with the philosophy of CYPS, the ITHRIVE framework, in keeping with the most up to date guidelines.
Job overview: To ensure the service operates in a safe, effective & efficient way as part of the whole system of emotional health and well-being services within the ITHRIVE framework. In addition, to foster a culture that encourages and enables individuals to have an active role in identifying, planning and meeting their individual needs.
To ensure that the experience of the CYP using the service is at the centre of any decision making whilst building outstanding supportive and responsive relationship with colleagues within North East Hampshire and leading on clinically challenging and complex cases as appropriate.
- To provide clinical and supervisory leadership to clinicians working with looked after children and adopted children and those with Special Guardianship Order, within the getting help/ getting more help element of the ITHRIVE framework.
- To deliver clinical intervention to looked after children, adopted children and those with Special Guardianship Order within the North East Hampshire area. This will involve undertaking initial assessments, MDT discussions and robust formulation of need, in order to deliver the most appropriate therapeutic intervention to some of the most vulnerable children and young people.
- As a member of the CYPS Management team, to develop, review and maintain effective systems which ensure the service is delivered according to national, CQC, local and Trust standards, policies, guidelines and local service plans in accordance with the Trust vision.

The post holder will be able to flexibly manage situations of multi-level stress in relation to children/young people (who may experience physical, sexual or emotional abuse), with staff and within the organisation.
