The Role
Dunbar Education is recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Biology Teacher for a fantastic secondary school in Caterham, Surrey.
The school is looking to appoint as soon as possible for the new academic year, with an ASAP September/October start.
This is currently a one-term, full-time position, Monday to Friday, teaching a full Biology timetable across Years 9–13, including significant A-Level teaching responsibility.
The timetable includes:
- Biology across Years 9–13
- Four A-Level Biology sets
- Two Lower Sixth classes
- Two Upper Sixth classes
- Full-time timetable, Monday to Friday
- One term initially
The Ideal Biology Teacher
We are looking for someone who:
- Ideally holds QTS
- Has strong Biology subject knowledge
- Has previous experience teaching Biology within a secondary school
- Is confident teaching Biology through to A-Level
- Can plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons
- Has high expectations for student achievement
- Is available to start ASAP
- Can provide an Enhanced DBS
- Can provide appropriate proof of Right to Work in the UK
- Does not require visa sponsorship
Salary
The position is paid to scale on the MPS/UPS London Fringe, with a salary equivalent of:
£35,602–£54,328 per annum (Pro-rata)
Exact pay will depend on experience and current pay-scale position.
