We are a well-established and growing stone worktop manufacturer looking for a reliable and motivated Stone Worktop Machinist to join our production team.
Working with granite, quartz, porcelain and sintered stone, you'll be responsible for operating CNC machinery and other stone processing equipment to manufacture high-quality kitchen worktops and bespoke stone products.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Stone Worktop Machinist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and maintain machinery used for shaping, cutting, and finishing stone worktops, ensuring precision and quality in every piece.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC stone machinery safely and efficiently.
- Set up and run cutting, profiling and polishing programmes.
- Read technical drawings and job sheets accurately.
- Check finished work to ensure it meets quality standards and customer specifications.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and daily housekeeping.
- Work closely with the fabrication team to ensure production deadlines are met.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including dust control and safe manual handling practices.
- Assist with other factory duties when required.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality work.
- Is reliable, punctual and has a positive attitude.
- Works well independently and as part of a team.
- Is physically fit and comfortable working with heavy materials.
- Is willing to learn and develop new skills.
- Has experience operating CNC machinery (stone industry experience is preferred but not essential).
- Has experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with granite, quartz, porcelain or sintered stone.
- Experience with CNC bridge saws, machining centres or edge polishing machines.
- Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential).
- Overhead crane experience (desirable).

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, with overtime often required/available.
