Location: North West based, site-based with travel
Salary: £45,000–£48,000 depending on experience
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Reports to: Head of HR
Everwaste is a growing specialist waste management group, providing safe, compliant and practical waste solutions across the UK.
We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to support our businesses in the North West.
This is a hands-on, site-based role suited to someone who enjoys being close to the operation, building relationships with managers and employees, and helping to bring structure, consistency and confidence during a period of change.
You will report directly to the Head of HR and work within the wider Group HR framework. You will take ownership of day-to-day HR support on site, with complex or high-risk matters escalated to the Head of HR.
What you’ll be doing
You will act as a visible HR contact for employees and managers, supporting day-to-day HR activity, employee communication, engagement, recruitment, retention and operational resourcing.
You will work closely with operational managers to understand staffing requirements and act as a key contact for agency labour providers, helping to ensure the business is appropriately resourced — not too much, not too little, and aligned to genuine operational need.
You will also support managers with absence, conduct, capability, grievance, performance and other employee-relations matters, ensuring advice is practical, fair and commercially appropriate.
Key responsibilities

Support the integration of a newly acquired business into the wider Group.
Build strong working relationships across site and operations.

Help monitor agency usage, staffing levels and resourcing trends.
Support employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives under the direction of the Head of HR.
Advise managers on employee-relations matters, escalating complex or high-risk cases.
Maintain accurate HR records and provide regular updates on people risks and priorities.
What we’re looking for

Experience supporting managers with employee-relations casework.
Good working knowledge of UK employment law.
Experience in an operational, fast-paced or site-based environment.
Confidence working closely with managers and employees.
A practical, resilient and down-to-earth approach.
CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience would be desirable.
This role would suit someone who is approachable and people-focused, but also confident enough to challenge, hold boundaries and support managers with difficult conversations when needed.
Pay: £42,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
