About the Role
We are seeking an experienced CCTV Operator to join our busy CCTV Control Room team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring CCTV systems, responding to incidents, maintaining accurate records, and liaising with relevant stakeholders to support public safety and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor live and recorded CCTV footage.
- Identify, monitor, and report incidents in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate incident logs and records.
- Retrieve and export CCTV footage when required.
- Liaise with police, emergency services, and other partners as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to clients and stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a CCTV Control Room environment.
- Valid SIA Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) Licence.
- Good knowledge of CCTV operations and incident management procedures.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Competent IT skills and experience using CCTV management systems.
- Flexible approach to working shifts, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays (if required).
Desirable
- Experience working within local authority or public space CCTV operations.
- Knowledge of data protection and CCTV legislation.
- Previous experience liaising with police and emergency services.
