Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
- Sterilise and maintain dental instruments in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, answering any questions they may have
- Record patient details accurately using dental IT systems and maintain comprehensive clinical records
- Support patients throughout their visits, offering reassurance and clear communication
- Manage appointment scheduling efficiently, ensuring optimal utilisation of practice resources
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the dental practice environment at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with patients and team members
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Good IT literacy, including familiarity with dental practice management software
- Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care and infection control procedures
- Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism and empathy at all times
