Overview
We are seeking a motivated Joinery Estimation Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for joinery projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Your expertise will help streamline project planning and support our commitment to delivering outstanding craftsmanship on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for joinery projects based on project specifications and drawings
- Collaborate with design and production teams to understand project scope and technical requirements
- Analyze material costs, labor hours, and subcontractor quotations to ensure precise budgeting
- Monitor project costs throughout the bidding process to maintain competitiveness and profitability
- Implement effective cost control measures to optimize resource utilization and reduce waste
- Prepare comprehensive tender documents and assist in bid submissions
- Communicate clearly with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to clarify project requirements and cost implications
Qualifications
- Proven experience in joinery estimation or a related role within the woodworking or furniture industry
- Strong understanding of joinery techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail in cost analysis and budgeting
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation effectively
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Magicut and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of cost control principles to manage project budgets efficiently
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise confidently with customer & colleagues at all levels
