Autowave Limited is one of the UK's leading auto locksmith and programming equipment distributors. An important position has arisen for a Support Technician to join us at our office in Long Eaton, Nottingham.
The successful candidate will need a strong interest in the automotive industry. A technical background or experience in diagnostic, key programming, auto electrical or related activities is essential.
As a support technician you will be one of main contacts for technical queries and requests. You will be responsible for answering support tickets from various sources and then trying to resolve them. You will have access to technical resources and will work alongside our existing team of 2 support technicians. There will also be a direct communication between you and our manufacturers to help deal with technical queries efficiently.
You will take ownership of tickets ensuring customers have a consistent line of communication.
The successful candidate will be involved with items such as:
· Key cutting machines
· Key programming equipment
· Motorcycle diagnostic equipment
· Remotes, keys, transponders
· Lock Picks
· Soldering equipment
· ECU Cloning equipment
On going training on these products will be provided. You will be required to actively learn as new products, methods and techniques become available.
An interest in automotive technology is essential.
This role is office based but will require some hands on work due to the nature of the product.
There may be a requirement to attend exhibitions/events 1-2 times per year to represent the company which would include travel (within the UK).

This is an office based role in Long Eaton, Nottingham.
