Are you a good problem solver and you are looking to take the next step as a toolmaker?
Do you have experience as a toolmaker and you’re ready to make your mark on a small and expanding business?
Blue Chip CNC specialises in the design & manufacture of high-quality tooling solutions for the automotive, aerospace and IGT industries.
We design & manufacture press tools, jigs & fixtures, machining & weld fixtures, inspection & assembly fixtures and wax pattern tools.
The hours that you work will be Monday - Friday, but they will be negotiable to suit you.
If this sounds like something you are interested in, and you are well experienced in toolmaking, this is what we need from you:
- Experience with press tools – manufacturing, assembling, repair and overhaul.
- Comfortable with reading engineering drawings
- Comfortable working to fine tolerances.
- Proficient in the use of conventional milling machines & lathes, and surface grinding.
- Experience in 3 axis CNC milling machines is advantageous
- Competent in methods of inspection, part checking and the use of metrology equipment.
- Wire/ EDM experience is helpful but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of using Solidworks, Visi Cad Cam. This is desirable, not essential.
Most importantly, we need you to be able to 'hit the ground running', so we do require the successful candidate to have had experience as a toolmaker.
We are a small business, so it is essential that you are comfortable working within a small team, while also working on your own to solve problems and find ways to make processes more efficient. Occasionally you may be asked to visit customers to aid the designers in understanding the customers tooling needs.
Salary will be discussed at interview stage.
