Regis Removals is looking for a reliable and physically capable 3.5T Van Driver / Removal Operative. This is a hands-on removals role, not just a driving job. You must be comfortable with heavy lifting, early starts, varied hours and working professionally in customers’ homes.
We are a long-established removals and storage company with over 50 years of history serving customers across West Sussex, nationwide and overseas. We pride ourselves on delivering a premium, professional service — and we are looking for someone who wants to become part of that standard.
This is not just a driving job. You will be working as part of a removals crew, handling customers’ belongings carefully, packing, loading, unloading, securing furniture, and representing Regis Removals inside customers’ homes.
We are currently looking for someone to support us through the busy removals season, with the opportunity for the role to develop into a full-time permanent position for the right candidate.
Your duties will include:
- Driving 3.5T commercial removal vehicles
- Loading and unloading furniture, boxes and household goods
- Carrying out removals work safely and professionally
- Packing household goods where required
- Wrapping and protecting furniture
- Dismantling and reassembling furniture where needed
- Keeping vehicles clean, tidy and presentable
- Working respectfully inside customers’ homes
- Following company procedures, safety standards and instructions from senior staff
This is a physical role involving regular heavy lifting, stairs, long days and varied working environments.
You should be:

- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting

- Willing to work early starts and occasional late finishes
- Flexible with working hours during busy periods
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Clean driving licence preferred
- Must meet our fleet insurance requirements for driving 3.5T commercial vehicles
- Able to commute reliably to our Bognor Regis HQ
- Comfortable with manual handling and physically demanding work
- Previous removals, delivery, warehouse, driving or manual labour experience is helpful but not essential
Furniture dismantling/reassembly experience would be an advantage, but full guidance and training can be provided.
Working hours vary due to the nature of the removals industry.

Some weeks will be busier than others. The role will begin on an initial zero-hours probationary basis, with the opportunity to progress into regular or full-time employment for the right candidate.
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
