Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle diagnostics to identify faults using specialised tools and equipment
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine work, brake servicing, suspension, and electrical systems
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and replacements
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed on each vehicle
- Assist in the inspection of vehicles to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
- Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle components or parts as required, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair and maintenance
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, with the physical capability to handle vehicle parts or equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology are desirable but not essential
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Be able to use diagnostic equipment competently
