Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiast and motivated Trainee/Junior Fire & Security Engineer to join our growing team. This entry level role offers an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in fire and security systems. Working alongside our experienced engineers within our installation and service department, you will gain hands-on experience installing, servicing and maintaining a wide range of fire and security systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long term career within the fire and security industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of fire and security systems
- Support senior engineers in inspecting, maintaining and carrying out reactive repairs of fire and security systems
- Learn to interpret plans, wiring diagrams and technical manuals for system setup, fault finding and troubleshooting
- Use hand tools and power tools safely during installation or repair tasks
- Complete all work in accordance with industry standards, regulations and company procedures
- Deliver high standard of customer service
- Complete relevant documentation accurately and promptly
Requirements
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Practical knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Willingness to learn new skills quickly in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Knowledge or experience of intruder alarms, CCTV and/or fire systems
- Electrical qualifications or an understanding of basic electrical principles
- Previous experience within a technical, electrical or engineering environment
