Job Title: Qualified Teaching Assistant
Location: Preston (Leyland & Chorley)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Contract Type: Temporary, with opportunities to secure permanent employment
Pay Rate: £14.25 - £18.35 per hour (dependant on experience and qualifications etc)

Job Description:
As a Qualified Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Work alongside teachers to support pupils throughout the school day.
- Deliver targeted support to individual pupils and small groups.
- Assist in creating an engaging, inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Help prepare classroom resources and learning activities.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote children’s confidence and independence.
- Support pupils with a range of learning needs, including those with additional educational needs where required.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents to help children thrive.

Essential:
- Right to Work in the UK.
- A valid Enhanced DBS for Child Workforce on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- A recognised Teaching Assistant, Health & Social Care or Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
- Professional experience working with children within a primary school or educational setting.
- A positive, enthusiastic and reliable approach to supporting children’s learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to reliably commute to Preston and the surrounding areas.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
- Knowledge of the EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2 curriculum.
- Experience delivering interventions or supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different school environments.
