As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a motivated Area Manager to join our Operations team — someone passionate about delivering exceptional service, building strong relationships, and leading high-performing teams.
The Role
As an Area Manager, you’ll be the ‘Sidekick’ who keeps everything running smoothly across multiple client sites. You’ll ensure every workplace operates efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards, while acting as a key link between our clients and operational teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Leading, supporting and developing a team of supervisors, housekeepers, and out-of-hours cleaning operatives
- Overseeing daily service delivery and ensuring operational excellence across all sites
- Managing site mobilisations, staffing levels, budgets, KPIs, and SLAs
- Ensuring full compliance with health & safety standards and completion of team training
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting Sidekick’s sustainability goals
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience managing multiple client accounts within a commercial environment
- Strong leadership experience in multi-site operations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A confident problem-solver with strong organisational and planning ability
- IOSHH (or equivalent) Health & Safety qualification
- A flexible, practical and positive approach
- A passion for teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement
- A candidate who is based within a short travel distance of central Bristol (30 mins)

Additional Information
- This is a full-time role on a fixed term basis (6 month initially), with flexibility of working hours required between 7:00am and 10:00pm depending on business needs
- The role is primarily based in Bristol, with occasional additional location travel to Reading, Bath, Cheltenham & Swansea being added as the role progresses
- You must have access your own reliable vehicle and be willing to use it for work
- Travel expenses (mileage and train fares) will be covered, to locations outside of Bristol
